After much thought, I have made one of the most difficult decisions of my life.  After 25 years of caring for children and serving the Community, it is time for me to bring this chapter of my career to a close.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce Precious One’s will permanently close, with our final day of operation being Friday, August 21, 2026.

I know that some of you have learned this through the ELRC case managers, but my hope was to share this news with each of you personally.  I sincerely apologize that circumstances did not allow this to happen.

When I opened this daycare 25 years ago, I never imagined the incredible journey it would become.  I have had the privilege of caring for hundreds of children.  I watched them take their first steps, learn ABC’s, make lifelong friendships, and grow into amazing young people.  This is a gift I will never take for granted.

To our families, thank you for trusting me with your most precious gift – your children. It has been an honor to be part of their lives and to celebrate so many milestones alongside your families.

To my staff, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the children and families we have served.  Your kindness, patience, and hard work have made this daycare the special place it has been for so many years.  I could not have done this without each of you.

Although this decision is bittersweet, I know in my heart that after 25 years, it is time for me to step away and begin a new chapter in my life.  While I will miss the smiling faces that have filled my days, I will forever cherish the memories and friendships this career has given me.

We will continue to provide the same loving, safe, and nurturing environment you have come to expect through our final day Friday, August 21, 2026.  For families receiving ELRC assistance, please continue working with your case manager to arrange future childcare.  I also encourage all families to begin exploring childcare options for after our closing date.  If you need assistance or recommendations, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to do what I have loved for the past 25 years.  Your support, kindness, and trust have made this more than just a job.  I will carry the memories of each child, each family, and each staff member with me always.
